This Privacy Policy applies to the Meffi mobile application and related services (the “Service”) operated by Meffi Team (“Meffi”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

Meffi is intended for users aged 17 and older. If you are under 17, do not use the Service.

1) Information We Collect

1.1 Account and profile information (provided by you)

  • Name (optional, as applicable)
  • Username
  • Email address

1.2 Customer support information (provided by you)

  • Support messages and any information you choose to include (including attachments, if any)

1.3 Location information (with your permission)

  • Precise or approximate location, only if you enable and grant permission

1.4 Device and usage data (collected automatically)

  • Device information (model, OS version, app version, language/region)
  • Usage statistics and in-app activity
  • Crash logs and diagnostic data
  • IP address or similar network information (for security and reliability)

1.5 Cookies and similar technologies

If the Service includes web-based components, we may use cookies and similar technologies (which may include web beacons/pixels) for login, preferences, security, and reliability. You can typically control cookies in your browser or device settings.

1.6 Photos, images, and face-related content (if you choose to provide)

You may choose to upload photos/images or text for certain features. We do not perform facial recognition, and we do not collect or use biometric identifiers for identification purposes.

Important: Unless otherwise stated in the feature, generated results are stored locally on your device by default. Any server-side processing is designed to be one-time, and inputs are deleted as described in the retention section.

  • Provide customer support and respond to requests

We do not sell your personal information.

3) AI / Generated Content Features (If Available)

Meffi may offer optional features that generate or transform content based on user-provided text and/or images (“AI Features”).

User control
You choose whether to upload content and whether to generate outputs.
Processing
If used, submitted text/images are processed on Meffi’s own servers to produce outputs.
No third-party sharing for processing
Submitted text/images are not shared with any third party for AI processing.
Deletion
Submitted text/images are deleted promptly after processing is completed.
No training by default
Submitted text/images are not used to train models for Meffi or third parties.
No biometric identification
We do not use AI Features for facial recognition or identification.

4) How We Share Information

We may disclose information only in limited cases and to the minimum extent necessary:

  • With your consent, when you direct us to share.
  • Service providers (processors) that help us run the Service (e.g., hosting, infrastructure, analytics, customer support tooling, crash reporting), under contractual protections.
  • Legal, safety, and rights protection, to comply with law or protect users, Meffi, or others.
  • Business transfers, as part of a merger, acquisition, or similar transaction.
AI Features: submitted text/images are processed on Meffi’s own servers and are not shared with third parties for processing.

5) International Data Transfers

We may process and store information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent mechanisms.

6) Data Retention

We retain information as long as necessary to provide the Service and for legitimate purposes.

  • Account data: while your account is active.
  • After account deletion: delete or anonymize within 30 days (unless legally required).
  • Usage analytics: up to 12 months.
  • Customer support records: up to 6 months after resolution.
  • AI Feature inputs (text/images): deleted promptly after processing is completed.

7) Security

  • Encryption in transit and, where appropriate, at rest
  • Access controls and least-privilege practices
  • Regular audits and monitoring
  • Backups and disaster recovery measures

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8) Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict processing, or withdraw consent.

9) Children and Teens (17+)

The Service is not directed to children under 17, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 17 has provided information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

10) Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice as required by law. The effective date at the top indicates when this policy became effective.
